We remain focused on supporting the long term care centres of CapitalCare with COVID Relief. The COVID relief fund supports several areas of the work being done to maintain safe environments and quality of life for residents and staff at the centres.
COVID RELIEF FUND WILL SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING:
- Staff breaks – hot meals and snacks for well-deserved breaks for those working in isolation units
- Staff supports for safety and self-care – masks, hand cream, go cups, garment bags, individual lunch kits and cutlery sets
- Resident recreation kits -individualized to avoid cross-contamination
- Tech for Virtual connections -tablets, phones, wifi supports to ensure families can connect with loved ones from a distance
- Smart TVs – to bring virtual recreation programming and resident activities occurring
- Emotional supports – recognizing the losses and sacrifices of staff, residents and families in meaningful ways to help give strength and understanding
